"Be contented with your blessing
Without waiting about your misfortunes"
Pain and pleasure are the integral part of everyone's life. World is full of instances where people are found to grumble and complaining about the pain caused by the troubles and misfortunes in life hiding the pleasure they enjoy. This shows that people of this type have not developed a positive attitude. Counting only the troubles indicate that negative attitude has gained importance in their lives. The net result of this negativity is that people become unhappy. They loose hope of any improvement and betterment in their lives.
The message is to count your fortunes, to build up a positive attitude. Be grateful for the good things we have. It so happens that we are engrossed in our troubles that we forget about what good things we have and lose the sight of being thankful.
The emphasis is on counting our blessings not troubles. It does not mean that we should totally blank out the troubles. If it is so then it is to become complacent. Count the troubles with a view of over coming them.
Some other means of developing personality are developing positive attitude, open mindedness, self acceptance i.e. a state with absence of complaint and complete faith in God.
